Become a Mentor
We welcome enquiries from a broad range of backgrounds, including those with lived experience of the Criminal Justice system who have been out of prison for 2 years or more.
Volunteers might expect to give at least 2 hours per week and be able to commit to 12 months with CCN.
Training course for Volunteer Mentors
We provide full training and ongoing supervision for all our volunteers. All our volunteers are required to do the training, to understand the aims of the project and what would be required of a mentor. Completing the training does not commit you to becoming a mentor. Everyone who is accepted as a Mentor will be asked to complete a Basic DBS and provide two references.
The next course starts on Saturday 16 November. This course will consist of 2 x 8 hour sessions, with the second session being held on Saturday 23 November. Both sessions will be held in Norwich.
If those dates are not suitable for you, we will be running more courses next year. But do still contact us to register your interest.
If you are interested in attending, please send a completed CCN Volunteer application form to jack@norfolkchaplaincy.org.uk
